Each summer, several MC-CDI students participate in an internship at Cooper Union’s School of Engineering where they learn the basic principles of engineering. The highlight of the internship is creating a Rube Goldberg apparatus, a device that uses a chain reaction to perform a simple task in a complex way. Students work collaboratively in groups, and use recycled materials to create their devices. This year’s themes included pyrotechnics and amusement park rides! Hear about it straight from the students…
Watch the result of students’ internship go up in flames, literally.
